Social
Justice
Social justice requires examining both internal and external structures that reinforce intergenerational patterns of oppression. Internalizing oppression, and the beliefs of being less than (or greater than) is as much a barrier as the external roadblocks. Negative and positive ego inflation both block healthy human development and engaged contribution. In work focused on social justice, Dr. Gohal works with individuals and groups to understand the internalized belief systems and patterns through shadow inquiry. This inquiry is meant to uncover the unconscious competing agendas. Coaching focused toward social justice causes is offered once or twice a year pro bono or low bono. Aman has worked primarily with women transitioning from homelessness and/or incarceration into leadership, advocacy and public speaking roles in their community. She has prepared these women to lead their own non-profits, raise funds and most importantly share their stories.
